Trying to set a cue and I can’t figure out how to get the beat to line up with the white line in the middle. Intutively, I would think I click on the wave form and just drag it over, but if I click on it it just shoots off the song. Super frustrating.
If quantize is active then setting a cue point will jump to the nearest beat line & normally where the beat of the tune is (if your beat grid is aligned that is)
If not then you can do 2 things 1: disable quantize & then you’re free to place the cue wherever you want or 2: edit the beat grid first so it’s aligned with your tune then you can set the cue on the beat line of your choice.
Thanks Andy. I figured it out. It was really odd. I have a monitor connected to my laptop. Turns out, the issue was only happening when I had the Engine DJ window open on the 2nd monitor. Once I moved the window to the native laptop monitor I could drag and move the wave file around without any issues.
