SYSTEM ONE + Serato DJ Pro: scrolling waveform intermittently fails to render on track load — reloading the track restores it

Setup: Rane System One (Engine OS 5.0.3), Serato DJ Pro 4.0.9, MacBook Pro M2 Pro, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, direct connection via included locking USB-C cable, no hub.

Steps to reproduce (intermittent):

  1. Connect System One to Serato DJ Pro
  2. Load tracks to decks 1 and 2 from the Serato source and play
  3. Intermittently, a loaded track’s scrolling waveform does not render on the System One display

Expected: Scrolling RGB waveform renders for every loaded track. Actual: The affected deck’s scrolling waveform area is blank — only cue points, loop markers, and the baseline render. Playback is otherwise unaffected: time remaining, BPM, and key all display correctly, and the full-track overview strip renders normally. Occurs on either deck, not tied to one side. Reloading the track restores the waveform.

I can confirm that this is a bug when using Serato only. I have to reload the song on the deck multiple times, and usually the waveform will render. Even with a blank screen, no waveform, it doesn’t affect playback. I didn’t bother placing a Serato Support ticket since I primarily use the RS1 in standalone mode.
