Setup: Rane System One (Engine OS 5.0.3), Serato DJ Pro 4.0.9, MacBook Pro M2 Pro, macOS Tahoe 26.5.2, direct connection via included locking USB-C cable, no hub.
Steps to reproduce:
- Connect to Serato DJ Pro, set System One source to Serato
- Browse and load tracks from the hardware SCROLL/LOAD encoders — press-to-load works normally
- Interact with Serato on the laptop (mouse click, trackpad scroll, or keyboard)
- Return to the hardware and press the SCROLL/LOAD encoder without turning it first
Expected: Selected track loads to the deck. Actual: Press does nothing. Rotating the encoder any amount restores press-to-load immediately.
Notes: Consistently reproducible after laptop interaction; never occurs during hardware-only browsing. Appears to be a browse-focus sync issue between the Serato library cursor and the hardware selection state, similar in behavior to the previously acknowledged DDJ-SZ load-knob bug.
