Sync Manager Takes way to long

Hi when I’m syncing my engine library about 60gb to my usb drive it takes about 12 hours which is too long. I tried resetting the library and also imported it again. I used different usb drives, also an sd card but still the sync is very slow. Are there any tips how I can improve the sync speed. If I’m exporting the whole Collection with Lexicon DJ it only takes 1 hour, so I’m curios what could cause this issue.

Hi

What USB drive are you using?

Save yourself and invest in a fast USB 3.2 drive

I’m already using an 3.2 usb from SanDisk formatted in Exfat

I can do double your collection size in about 90 mins with a USB 3.2. Perhaps it’s your computer or its port causing the bottleneck? Have you looked up the usb port specs on your computer to ensure they’re up to speed?

Have you tried Rekordbox to compare?

Same usb type with rekordbox taking about 30 minutes. So I doubt that it’s the stick or the port.

That’s unsual.

If rekordbox can do it in 30mins then engine should even complete the job faster.

What model is the usb drive? You could post an amazon link

l had this problem half a year ago. I run the library cleanup in preferences and it worked properly again for me.

This problem happened to me too and I had my PC scanned with the Crystal Disk program. I saw that the speed of my fast SSD drives was not being achieved. This was because my MB only had USB 3 ports to connect the SSD drives. The speed of USB 3.0 is limited to 5GB. USB 3.1 up to 10GB and USB 3.2 up to 20GB. With that knowledge, I purchased an internal PCI-E expansion card to which I connected my external SSD drives that I use for my music and since then everything has been going fast enough. I’ve never really kept track of it by the clock, but the difference is huge.

I’ve the feeling that there could be a song or multiple songs that could cause engine to take that long. Could that be the case and if so how can I identify them?
