PS I assume that the sync manager will only allow a usb to sync back to engine on t to he pc if it was created on that pc.
I have sorted the database problem I used a windows app called Mixo to extract the playlists from a USB drive and import the tracks & playlists back in to Engine. Engine really needs a full backup function similar to Rekordbox. I also tried the same program to restore some playlists off an old hard drive which worked as well.

I‘ve got hit by this problem again.
Desktop with 4.0 and Laptop with 3.4
Both don‘t export the playlists just the collection.
It worked on both till this week.
This is seriously frustrating after rebuilding my whole library earlier this year because of this problem already.
Backups from earlier databases didn’t help either. Tried at least 3 backups from spring
Just found this discussion looks like its been going on for a while now. I’m in this situation now and tried everything I read in this thread nothing works, my old usb sticks works but now cant make a new playlist they wont transfer to USB. My temporary solution create playlist on serato then sync to engine dj on my laptop then from my sc live 4 stream those playlist in my laptop via wifi it works but beats the purpose of using a stand alone controller. Hopefully engine dj fix this bug soon
