Sync button issue?

Thanks for confirming that. Lol.

Now is the SYNCLEAD icon always active on the P4 ?

It appears during the first sync play and will remain on the screen if playing in sync mode. It will dissappear if ALL syncs have been toggled off but if you have decks 1 & 2 synced but not 3 & 4, you will see the Lead icon on the waveforms of decks 1 & 2.

I always play with 4 decks & use vertical waveforms. Not sure how it goes with horizontal (which I liked on Serato but now absolutely prefer 4 decks with all 4 vertically scrolling waveforms).

@DjAj you owe me a pint of Guinness fam

@Mike303UK is the icon is tappable so you can use it change the LEAD ?

@mufasa - yes it’s tappable.

Throw me a lager in too :beers:

To Recap

  1. Sync Behavior has changed slightly to reduce the number of taps or button presses

  2. You only need to press Sync on the incoming track and it will automatically sync to the tempo of the longest playing deck

  3. When Syncing on smart consoles - you will see a SYNCLEAD icon on the screen. This shows that the specific deck is the conductor of the Sync.

  4. SYNCLEAD is tappable and can be handed over to another deck

Are you using fixed grid or dynamic grid tracks? I mean, did you put markers on your tracks to adjust the grid?

I knew that on V1.6 and V2.0.0 the two large LEAD SYNC buttons only appeared when using variable grid tracks.

I used both. I know that 1.6 only showed master when markers had been added but with 2.0 it seems across the board.

I suppose when I think about it, this new way does seem the logical way. My 1st time ever on a dj controller, I instinctively wanted to press sync on the incoming track. Of course, after years of tapping sync on the current track (to designate it as master) it takes a bit of getting use to again.

just fired them up and its magically not doing it now but has been for days, yes as in( ive activated the sync not just the master on 1.6 model) it was continuously on sync I couldn’t get it off , strange , anyone know a quick way to eliminate duplicates as ive now got multiple duplicates over 1000s of songs after uploading to 2.0 ive done the cleanup and doesn’t seem to eradicate it , hopefully I don’t have to delete folder and re upload ?? thanks boys

Ok.

One issue resolved

Not sure how you can get rid of duplicates in your performance drive other than a full wipe of the performance drive or using lexicon.

By design the new playlists do not allow duplicates.

I’m guessing you had tracks on the performance drive created with 1.6 you then added some more tracks with 2.0?

yes correct, as I had more songs to upload , alot were showing red that were originally in the folder so I reuploaded as I had to do previously in 1.6 , hoping that when I sync they would sort that for me etc the duplicates , they did 3 fold lol

I find wiping faster….gets rid of dead links etc.

I know it may not be a suitable option for many…but I do it multiple times a week.

thanks mate just a quick one , as bought external hd for main database , some on Mac but moving all to external after the corrupt database issues of 1.6 sent me potty ,when I move all files to external , I noticed some were showing red which gave me alarm bells I’m going to lose some on the sync because the root drive the files in has changed is that correct or it doesn’t matter where the file is aslojng as its somewhere , that’s how I ended up with all the copies.

In fact, it is better as a speed of activation and is more intuitive.
