Symbolic Link doubles up used space on HD?

Hi, I have found something similar on my Drive as stated in below article. “Engine Shows Music Files In “AppData/Engine DJ””. (Engine Shows Music Files In "AppData/Engine DJ")

It seems that the same files are shown on location C:\Users\Jack\Music and on C:\Users\Jack\AppData\Local\AIR Music Technology\EnginePrime\Favorites\Music

If I change something like a foldername on location C:\Users\Jack\Music, the change becomes visible on C:\Users\Jack\AppData\Local\AIR Music Technology\EnginePrime\Favorites\Music These seem to be linked, so far nothing special (a symbolic link I assume).

This causes the follwing issue: These 2 “music” folders are added to the same amount of used space on my hardddrive. My collection contains about 400GB of files, causing the used space to be indicated as 800GB. It will be going to show errors that my drive will be filled up shortly.

Anybody else seen this?

The way I prepare my Library is on NTFS. Putting files in certain folders of C:\Users\Jack\Music.… Dragging them afterwards to the playlists in Engine-DJ

There is no prerequisite stating that I need to have diskspace twice the size of my library.

Kind regards, Jack

If this is truly the case (symlink), then the calculation for disk space used is an OS related issue, not Engine OS specifically. Engine uses an OS feature that many apps could be using as well and by now, windows should be smart enough to not double count the used space.
