Stolen Denon SC Live 4

So everyone, just a quick ask….

If anyone comes across a Denon SC Live 4 with serial number A12410252026192 please log it on the immobilise web site as it is mine and has been stolen.

It is registered with the police.

Just out of interest - when was it stolen eg: during load-in at the beginning of the night? At the end while packing away? From a locked van after a gig? Etc

Be sure to notify Denon DJ. If the unit is connected to WiFi, it should reach out to the servers. Perhaps they will have a record of the IP address, which might help the police???

Sorry to hear about that @Lemon

I can confirm the unit has not been registered again since Aug 9 2025. There is no way for us to flag a particular SN, but we can check from time to time for new registrations.

I think that InMusic should market the fact that they can access info like this - it could be a big anti-theft incentive eg “Don’t steal Denon DJ Prime products - they register on the cloud and can be located / narrowed down to a WiFi network / IP address etc

Problem is though if the person who stole it then sold it to CEX or Cash Converters the new owner logging in wouldn’t know it had been stolen in the first place.

True - but … CEX have a list of products they won’t buy in secondhand, such as certain laptops with BIOS level passwords, some cellphones which brick when stolen, car radio head units with complicated PINs etc -

When a thief starts getting their hooky goods turned away by the likes of CEX, he’ll avoid stealing those makes/models in future - so if Primes got added to CEXs forbidden list, it could kill the market for stolen primes.

From inMusics point of view, they wouldn’t need to be able to “brick” a stolen prime instantly remotely - but would need to strip it of its ability to log into any InMusic profile and decline OTA firmware updates.

In a market where it’s seen as very much a two-horse race and really very little to choose between brand X and brand Y (for some people) a certain amount of theft-deterrent could be that slight extra wedge which could make some decisions at time of purchase
