My SC5000 is starting to show its age; I don’t know if it’s related to the latest version, but yesterday the platter display stayed frozen on the same album art throughout my entire set.
I have the SC5000 from launch date. I have no issues and I’m on the latest 5.0, in fact my SC5000 runs better than before with no GUI lag. Not saying you’re having issues but IMHO many of the problems are related to library management with 3rd party APPs.
It may that particular track that’s causing issues. What file type and album art size is it?
Do a Cleanup database in EngineDJ 5.0. The artwork will be moved from the database to a folder.
It’s my experience you need to run the library cleanup ofter and/or regularly.

It’s “age” is about 3 months - that’s when it got even more features added thanks to free firmware
