Hello, does anyone know why, if I render a track for stems in Engine Dj on my laptop, sync the usb, eject, put it in the Prime 4 → won’t show the rendered track?
So the problem is that the P4 doesn’t see all the stems I rendered on the laptop. What might of happened?
I managed to use the stems, and it works incredibly well, I’m impressed! For vocals and low bpm songs, it works like a bliss. Still has some blips every now and then but yeah, Incredible. I just wish I could use it for all my tracks
Hello, after you have run the sync manager from your PC to your remote USB drive, before ejecting the USB stick, use EDJ Desktop to go and see inside your USB stick if in the STEMS folder you have obtained the same amount of tracks as you see in the same folder of your main collection. Let’s start to understand if your STEMS files have been transferred.
Hello, thank you for your swift response and I apologize I 'm replying so late. Been so all around the places lately. I’m a bit of a noob, what you said is exactly the problem. I didn’t use the sync manager correctly. I exported all the tracks again and they showed up this time. I’ll try to be more careful, thank you!
Unfortunately I don’t think your problem has been solved. This joke happens to me too: I have to run the sync twice to get all the stems files transferred.
Oh no…Sorry to hear that. I just don’t understand why the Engine Dj doesn’t show you exactly what tracks you have on a specific drive(usb, partition etc). Like a file explorer..it just doesn’t make sense. I have a lot of tracks and folders on my Hdd and when I look to check the number of tracks in EDJ, it’s much smaller than in the folders, when I check. So I drag and dropped them inside the collection from EDJ and the number increased. Didn’t check yet if it’s the right amount, I only did that with 2 folders, left it to analyse the tracks all night and there’s still more folders to add. It should be more organized, the library, I mean, and show all tracks straight away, without the track information, just show the name of the track, the size and the duration, so you know what tracks you have on the computer, or stick or etc and leave you to manually analize them later. This is frustrating because when you want to see what tracks you have on a stick, you can’t see them in file explorer if you added them with Engine Dj. I don’t know. Yeah, forgot to mention, I don’t use SoundSwitch, yet, but I intend to. What’s the issue with it?
If you press this highlighted button, you see exactly the content of your remote drive (HDD/SSD/USB etc). In it you can navigate inside your external drive, see what is actually inside it and see how many tracks are inside it. Do not use Windows computer resources, but use Engine DJ Desktop, it is made for that purpose:
Because I use Soundswitch and another user who has the same problem as us, also uses Soundswitch. So I was wondering if the defect is due to Soundswitch. Look here:
@Reese Please remove the “solution” flag, since the bug does NOT have a solution but only a “workaround” of the defect.
