Hi,
I purchased a license for my Prime 4 (where to check that btw?) and I’ve been rendering some MP3s and synced to my internal HDD and an external USB drive. I do not get the option to use Stem. Neither have the files been labeled with the icon in the Prime4 display. In the EngineDJ software they have the Stems icon and after right clicking them I can un-Stem them. I can see files in the Stems directory in the EngineDJ folder but it does not seem to work.
Furthermore I can’t seem to check if the license is actually active on my account. I got a confirmation mail of my purchase. Checking the inmusicbrands dashboard does not show it either.
If it is not there, something went wrong. Maybe you used a different email address? Since you have bought it, contact the support team, they can help you. I once had a similar issue with a plug-in from AIR, their support added it to my InMusic page.
It seems that the Stems licence must be assigned to your account/profile, which you then use with your Prime 4.
Make sure that your Prime 4 is connected to your network and that your profile is active. My players then showed a pop-up, which said that stems are now available and a reboot for a small update is necessary. I hit “Got it” and rebooted …
On the SC Live 4 and the SC6000M players this was all that was necessary. There was no further menu diving and activating stems somewhere in settings.
I exported a test playlist from Engine DJ to a USB stick through Sync manager. The stems symbol appeared in the playlist on the players. To use stems, hit the Hot Cue button on the Prime 4, maybe twice, then you should see that you have four pads for the stems. At least on my players it worked that way … so I hope that it works the same way on the Prime 4.
They kindly transferred my license to my other mail address. It turns out paying via PayPal resulted in the usage of another mail address I use for my Prime4. Thanks for pointing this out @Parysatis
