I installed version 4.2.0 on windows and when I tried stemming songs it didn’t work. In the beginning it started processing them, but it suddenly stopped and no processed tracks appeared under stems. It seemed odd, so i tried to do the same with my macbook, which worked as it should after I followed the exact same proccedure. It seems like a bug for windows as every time I add a track on the stemming cue it doesn’t process it at all. I tried reinstalling and reenabling stems, but it also didn’t work as it should.

Lexicon user?
I used to, but not anymore.
Database has probably been changed, unless you’ve rebuild it completely.
Several Lexicon users reported this with 4.2.0, so it’s most likely the issue. Christiaan seems to be working on a fix. It’s not an Engine issue.
I see. I haven’t used Lexicon for over a month so it seems odd. It would be very difficult to start from scratch and lose my library
True and normally it shouldn’t be an issue using a 3rd party tool, but it’s like printers; you can use non-official toner/ink without problems until it isn’t…
Maybe check the Lexicon forum for more info.
I tried adding a track that hadn’t been processed with lexicon and it actually worked. The thing is that My tracks have cue points and metadata that I need, as well as the playlist themselves, that need to be preserved. I hope a fix is found until the stems reach my gear (Mixstream Pro Plus)
Try re-import track information of a problem track and then retry stems creation.
Stem the files on the export drive using the tab
Try that as a workaround
I’m puzzled how using Lexicon has affected the ability to process audio data from files.
I wouldn’t have thought a database conversion program would do anything to the audio side…
This has solved a very similar issue for me (though I haven’t used Lexicon). Re-import track info then it works with stems, whereas before it just did nothing on some tracks. Very odd!
@DjEric Re-importing track information didn’t solve the problem. @mufasa Stemming the files directly on the drive didn’t work either.
I use Lexicon too.
I don’t have this issue
With 4.2 currently
Re.import Track information didn’t help?
@DjMartinSK unfortunately not
hi I’m on Mac. I face the same problem. When I use my current library it is not working. whenever I create a new one, put the tracks in and analyze them, it is working. but then all metadata (cue points etc is gone). Even if I copy the created stems folder back in my library (with the cue points) the stem files don’t show up in the stems tab.
If you’re a Lexicon user, the beta version now supports stems when tracks are synced to Engine.
I tried that version. after syncing there are all lists and folders empty. only in the collection all files are available. Stems still not working.
