Prime 4 was updated to 4.2. However will not reboot to show stems capability. I’m using a USB stick with ‘stem’ tracks on them. What I done thus far… Logged out & in to my profile, factory reset, powered Prime off and on.
I also have 2 SC5000 & SC6000 stems works fine on them. I have logged out of the profile these 4 units and powered them off.
I’m aware the Stem License can be used with only 4 decks concurrently.
That sounds like your issue.
Once the devices are registered you use the slots up, even if they’re not active.
I think you’d need to purchase another licence for more. Hopefully one of the team will be able to confirm but I also ran into this issue.
Even with all units off I couldn’t access stems on my fifth unit. They don’t get released when they’re not in use.

I get it. The word “concurrently” is somewhat confusing, however I took the statement to mean that you can enable up to four devices for use regardless if the device is currently in use or offline (similar to licensing for pc software that limits how many pc’s can be authorized).
Yes if you have 4 or more units, example 6 SC5000’s, a Prime 2, and a Prime Go you must purchase another license, I had to do this recently and all is well in the Denon DJ universe . I also would suggest using a network hub to daisy chain all units to each other so you can have one hard drive, 4tb or more, external of course and you have the ultimate setup. Yes we all know the dreaded Engine DJ software wait time to analyze the conplete library, though there are certain ways to go about it, it took 8 days for 18,000 tracks for me at the moment. But ENGINE DJ FOR DENON DJ UNITS ADDING STEMS IS THE BEST
Now only if the units could analyse on their own, maybe in a future software update ???
That would be awesome, however, I’m inclined to think that the processing power in the current devices isn’t sufficient. My thought is that the next generation will have the ability for real-time STEMs, but we won’t be totally left out, as I’ll bet that there will be further enhancement in the desktop STEM process.
