SSD on future PrimeGo+

Ill start by saying I absolutely love my PrimeGo! It serves well within the limitations i have space wise on a 4ft section of an 8ft table which I share with our live stream crew. I wish i could have gotten the Prime 2 or even the Prime 4 but sadly theres just not that kinda space! I use my current PrimeGo to provide music for our college club ice hockey team’s home games. What i would absolutely go purchase a PrimeGo+ for is the addition of the built in SSD slot being added from the other Prime hardware. I have a lot of music and would like a more “permanent” storage device internally like an SSD. I love the portability of having the battery to prep stuff literally anywhere i just need bigger then SD card level storage so i dont have to pick and choose which tracks i bring! What i cannot do on a plane is setup my laptop and the PrimeGO :stuck_out_tongue:

The original Go should really have had this IMO along with another couple of USB ports. However its not really needed, just grab yourself a decent make NVME SSD and stick it in a USB 3 enclosure works a treat and easy to unplug and use in other Prime devices or PC

Great solution if you want to bring a bunch of other stuff with you to attach to a “standalone”! Why is this what everyone says to this idea? The whole point of a standalone is for it to standALONE! Like the whole purpose is to bring it in and not require a bag full of other things like multiple thumb drives, external storage, etc. Nothing should have to be attached “mid-flight” for me to prep tracks other then my headphones1

wow calm down, just buy something like this then and leave it in the USB port:

I don’t need to “calm down” because im not upset! You need to be more receptive to feedback you disagree with. You may have a more limited music collection, I have well over a TB of music! If you think a USB flash drive can cover this need then thats a great solution for you! You need to be realistic to what you are suggesting! A standalone controller that i have to attach drives, dongles, etc to defeats the purpose. Yes i could attach these things and “make it work”, but i shouldn’t have to! So the idea in your response that it’s “not really needed” because i can just have an external SSD hooked up is a ridiculous and irrelevant to what im suggesting.
