hi if i got only the soundswitch dongle cable ( only cable ) will it work with any fixture through prime4 light control.?

Yes, it will work with any DMX light that is on the list of supported devices in SoundSwitch.

Unfortunately there is no way of adding your own “fixture file”.

You can however bang a request via soundswitch websitevand they will aim to get profile done within 24 hours. It does also work.in any pc or mac running the software

You will also need to subscribe to SoundSwitch to access the fixtures and auto scripts.

There’s a trial included for free.

thx for your replys, 1 more thing how about the software on prime4 isn’t it sowndswitch and free?

The software for Prime 4 (Engine OS) including Engine Lightning is free. Also the preparation software to DJ is free (Engine DJ Desktop).

Engine Lightning is to control the lights from the Prime units. It supports Hue and Nanoleaf out of the box. For DMX lights you need a Soundswitch Dongle (Micro DMX or Control One) to connect from Prime USB to DMX. There is no computer needed for playback the lightshow. However DMX fixtures need to be set up and this requires a subscription and some prepping on a desktop.

Soundswitch Desktop offers 3 months free and then require a subscription.

Engine DJ hardware running v2.0 or higher and no subscription

For Hue: Philips Hue Bridge Philips Hue Light (Entertainment Area approved)

Pro lightning (DMX)

  • Engine DJ hardware running v2.0 or higher
  • SoundSwitch hardware Control One, Micro DMX or first generation DMX interface
  • Soundswitch Desktop software (free to download)
  • Active SoundSwitch Trial or Full (paid) License. License can be subscription or bought (Info here in Soundswitch Shop)

You can if you dont update library weekly but say every two months . Take the three months get all you lighting scenes done then drop in and out of subscription when you want. You can still use your light scripts on prime or pc without a subscription but you CANT make new scripts without a subscription
