Ive made a couple of Lightning shows on the SoundSwitch desktop application and exported them to a usb. I use a Numark Mixstream pro. I was wondering, do those projects save onto my flash drive and directly go into the hardware on my controller because I don’t see an option for that.
Would I need to connect my controller to my computer with the connector to play projects?
Welcome.
Your projects remain on your USB drive (or SD card) while performing. They won’t get copied onto the internal storage of the Numark or Denon product. You simply enable Lighting and your SoundSwitch project (.ssproj) should open, if you have multiple ones you have to select the one you want to use. Then it’s ready to rock n roll.
No, you don’t need to connect your Mixstream to your computer for that. It is an option, though, but only via LAN (StageLinq protocoll), which means an USB-to-LAN adapter in the case of the Mistream. Just stick with your USB stick.
You can either export your .ssproj file onto your USB drive from SoundSwitch, or do all at once with Engine DJ desktop preparation (once you’re done with preparing your lightshow and saved your project), there is an extra setting for that:
