Sound Settings in OB with the X1850

Hello all,

Can someone give me some good settings for recording in OBS? (Just Audio) I have the x1850 2x SC6000 and the Mixer goes into a MacBook Air 2025 via USB. The Sound is okay, but its lacking a bit of Punch and it sounds a bit dull. Im struggling for a Year for good Settings (For both: x1850 and OBS). Offbeatdooter for example, a Liquid Drum and Bass Channel (and a very good one..) has exactly the same Setup but his Sounds is much crisper and punchier and a little louder (He records with OBS too). I dont know what i am doing wrong, can someone give me some Tips please? My Setup: 2x Sc6000 (Output digital) X1850 Mixer via USB into a MacBook Air 2025.

Is it possible the other guy is post processing his recording in something like Audacity? i always bring the levels up on mine and normalise it before listening back.

This could be, but do you think they do it after a livestream? ( Hes streaming on twich) He is a nice guy he answered me one time he is setting the output in the mixer 8db and a limiter and so on…But it didnt help. To be honest im a bit overwhelmed with the obs settings. I thought i ask here if someone who records with obs and x1860 knows a good setting.

Yeah sorry i cant help for streaming as its not something ive done before. Plenty of people on here do though.

If anyone wants to know how to do a clean recording with a seperate microphone in OBS you can check out this document. It can apply to USB DJ mixers or controllers, The theory is the same, it’s about the audio track OBS settings.
