Is a skin worth it for the Prime 4? I’ve been thinking of getting the white skin, how difficult is it to put on? Are there any downsides?
Only you can tell if it is worth it for you. You get a different look, some form of scratch protection, if resale value is a concern. I don’t think it’ll help that much, a pristine Prime 4 in a few years might maybe fetch 100-150 USD more than a more used looking one, but then the skin also costs like 80… I’ve skinned my Denon Primo Go, my 2 SC6000 and my Xone 96. The Xone and Prime Go were easy, the SC6000 with their angled screens and the size of the players being covered by a single sheet were a PITA to get right. The Prime was easiest since the top faceplate came as a set of 3 or 4 smaller stickers for the different sections.
