Signed up to Tidal but it's saying 'cannot download tracks'

I’ve done this numerous times in the past without any issues but today I signed up to a months subscription with Tidal as I’m DJing tonight at a birthday party.

I went through the standard process of going to the link.tidal.com signing into my account and entering the 5 digit code given to me by my Prime Go screen and it reacts but then when I go to download a track it’s saying ‘cannot download track, you need to sign into to Tidal’

I tried this again to see if it worked and the same thing happens

Internet connection is working fine.

Any ideas?

By the way I’m still on Engine 2.1.1 as I have not used the Prime Go for a while and had bad experiences doing updates and suddenly things don’t work, last thing I need right before party is to do a load of troubleshooting. Could this maybe be the issue though?

I’m doing the update to 3.4.0 so will report back if it fixes the issue.

Turns out that my subscription level is now too low since 13th May they changed he s it and apparently I need the DJ version but I have no idea how to upgrade to it as the only version available is the Family version.

Any ideas what to do?

Have you tried doing it using a web browser rather than the app?

You need the individual plan + DJ Add on

It didn’t allow me to update via web/app in the current billing cycle.

Hab mich bei tidal deswegen abgemeldet und mein Account bei den gelöscht…ist etwas zu viel was sie verlangen…aber jeder hat seine eigene Meinung…

Tell them you want to change your subscription to Individual + DJ Add on with immediate effect.

That’s what I did when I became stuck and they responded within minutes.

This happened to me yesterday, just select the DJ extension and that’s it.

Hi,

So Tidal won’t let you stream music without the DJ attachment, in total it costs £19.99 or what ever currency you use, once you have this upgrade do what is in the photo attached. Someone from the platform put this up a while ago and it works for me.
