SC6000M screen fading to black

Hello,

one of my SC6000M players regularly has the screen turn black. It slowly fades over a second or 2-3, then looks like it’s switched off. The touch commands do keep working. I am able to switch off and restart the player the normal way. Just can’t see anything. When I switch the player on again, the screen is back.

This happened from the first time I ever touched the player. There is no pattern to it… sometimes I have to restart because of this for 5 times in 20 minutes, other times I don’t have the issue for 2 weeks.

I have some video recording of this but as a new user it doesn’t let me upload an attachment.

Should I send the unit in for repair or is there another solution here?

Looks like this is a hardware issue. Maybe a weak condensator or powerregulator on your screen. Better you send the unit to a repair center. But it sounds strange that sometime you dont have the issue for weeks. Temperature problem ? Or a weak soldering, could also be an issue.

Better send it in for a check up.
