SC6000 Screen Freeze

Hello I have 2 SC6000s, one deck suffers with the screen freeze when using scroll search. I have managed to reduce the problem…I think.

  1. I place a black backed computer mouse mat over the screen so no light gets in
  2. switch on the deck, wait until fully on plus 15secs
  3. switch on second deck

If anyone else is having the same problem can you try this please and get back to me Thanks Glen

In the way that, at random times, your screen becomes unresponsive to touch gestures, and that you have to restart the player to make it work again? Yes, sent it in for repair, screen was replaced. Never happened again.

yes it has something to do with calibration of the screen, I wont be sending mine off for repair, too many horror stories on condition when returned.

Don’t panic mate I’m just trying to fault diagnose

I’m not. Your post wasn’t coherent at all.

You turned on the deck and then turned it on?

Also if you’re talking about animation jank when scrolling, that’s normal.

Well, if you still have warranty, and bought through a reputable dealer, the reputable dealer will never let a repair centre BS you…

I am not sure what you expect, the other option is a DIY repair that breaks warranty, not even knowing if we are talking about the same problem, and doubting you will be able to obtain parts without passing a repair centre… At least contact support if you think something is wrong…

you have lost me now!

obviously we are talking about the faulty deck that bit we all understand!, Instruction number 2 switch on deck, wait until fully on plus 15sec…again we all understand thats the faulty deck. Instruction number 3 switch on second deck, i did say I had 2 decks…what number don’t you understand?

It’s ok, all I asked was If anyone else is having the same problem can you try this please and get back to me…it was diagnosis at this stage, thanks for your reply all the same.

My screen is fixed 2 years ago, so can’t help to test anything on my broken screen anymore

Yes for sure as from the outset you did say yours are now fixed, mine are out of warranty, the latest update has improved things but the mouse mat thing has made it 95% good, so im thinking its a calibration issue. listen thanks for your reply you never know this may help someone else as a temp workaround.

Any idea what the issue was?

No, they replaced the whole screen after they couldn’t replicate the problem for about 1-2 weeks.
