SC6000 - No Stems shown

Hi,

i searched for almost every possible option but with no luck yet:

I do own 2x SC 6000 but wont get the (created) Stems shown in EngineDJ on my Players.

What I’ve done as troubleshoot so far:

  • restarted both players
  • logged me out and back in on both players with my InMusic Profile
  • created Stems with other Songs
  • formatted both internal SSD’s
  • created an USB Stick and tried to copy the STEM Playlist onto it
  • I’ve deactivated and activated the “STEM-ability” on both players

I’m not able to Sync the STEM Playlist onto my 6000’s … no matter what I try!

Do I need to pay the 10 Bucks extra fee to get the opportunity to copy the Stem Playlist? (I do own a complete Setup - 2x 6000’s, 1x 1850 - if Denon forces me to pay the 10 Bucks extra when I’ve paid ~6000€ for the Hardware - sorry - then I’m out … that’s insane!)

Can someone clarify?

Best Regards

This is the community forum. Have you contacted Support | Engine DJ to get this sorted?

Did you use the same e-mail address as your Engine profile?

Hey,

You have to create stems in EnginDJ desktop and that syncs to your SC6000… It works like a charm for me.And yes, I also bought the SC6000 recently and was amased by the fact that I had to pay the extra 10… but it is worthed

If you have SC6000s then yes you will need to pay for a license. Stems are only free for the Prime 4+

Ah my bad. Thought OP meant it didn’t work after buying…

Looks like he expects stems to be free because he spent 6000€

And yes I expect to get it free because the Prime4+ customers (about 2000€) got the feature for free! Why not the customers who paid nearly the triple?

@ all:

thx for your replies! Much appreciated!

Maybe you don’t know the background…

Standalone stems were first offered as a beta exclusively to Prime 4+ owners, because (apparently) Denon wanted a small test group and there weren’t as many Prime 4+ owners as other devices.

Unfortunately this plan went astray in two ways. Retailers started advertising the 4+ as the first unit to have standalone stems, which made people believe it came out of the box with stems. This led to people buying the 4+ just because they thought it would have stems.

Therefore to offset this, when Denon released the stem system we have now, it was made available for free to 4+ owners as compensation. They still have to buy a license for other Denon units they own.

Everyone else has to pay.

Personally I think if you’re prepared to spend 6000 on equipment. then spending 10 on a new feature that was not there when you bought it really should not be an issue.

I mean, the alternative is sell your 6000$ Prime club set and buy a +$$$ Pioneer one where you don’t even have the option to have stems without adding a laptop+Rekordbox to the mix?

Seems a pretty easy choice, no?

Thank you for the detailed explanation!

It’s about the communication from Denon to the customers - its not about the money in first hand - its about the details from the “deal” wich you cant find on official Websites. Your short explanation could solve so much communication problems imho!

Thank you! Much appreciated!

Yeah sorry, that’s not true:

Most updates to all units are free since 2017. Stems simply are not. So, it is about the money described in your topic start. It costs €6010 now, if you want stems. Then again, it’s a one-time fee and not a subscription.

Apart from above, welcome to the forum! Stick around and you’ll see it’s a very nice community of people sharing the same passion.

Use Engine software sync, it won’t work directly on usb It costs 10$ once for 4-5 devices

Yes. Stems access was included with the Prime 4+. There’s a one time fee of $10 for all other players and with that you can authorize up to 4 players on your profile.

As explained on Denon’s website:
