SC5000 - No more firmware updates?

I wonder if we will ever have any firmware update in the near future since there is so much to be addressed yet…

I mean, look at the FEATURES REQUEST list…

Some of these are still interesting and useful but for some reasons DENON seems to be blind on this topic…

CIAO

So far every update that came out for any Denon dj product was also for SC5000. So I bet next one will also be valid for the SC5000 units.

Wait until the System One gets old, then there will be updates again. *troll*

I disagree, I absolutely disagree. I’ve had the SC5000M for almost 8 years. In 8 years, more than 100 features have been added or significantly improved. What else do you need? The SC5000M has everything a professional DJ needs.

u dont have other than this photo to answer all the threats with

For you? No.

You asked the same question I wanted to ask hahaha! Now they’re going to report this post of mine too? Joking or making jokes is prohibited here on the forum!

Are you stating that your posts are all a joke and that that’s the reason the posts get flagged or removed?

Then “off-topic” translates as “joke” in Italian? Remarkable.

I will not moderate the joke posts in this topic for everyone to read… have fun!

If my post seems offensive to you, then you’re doing something wrong! Those who write something criticizing the requests that others make are fine, right? They agreed to report some people! I’ve been asking for an Italian section of the forum for months so I don’t have to translate all the time! I have to struggle to translate, and you don’t? All the forums for DJ products have an Italian section, but not even a shadow of my request! Never say anything to the others who criticize, they even told me that if I don’t translate, no one will take my posts into consideration! This forum has become ridiculous!! Do you like being waited on hand and foot?

This is the Italian language section of the Serato forum, as you can see there is a couple genuine threads and lots of bots/spam.

Unfortunately, the world has adopted English as the default language on the internet (and in general use in the real world). Im not here to argue the politics and reasoning of that, but the horse has bolted from the stable now, so there is no going back, unless the Chinese decide to take over the world and try to make everyone speak Mandarin.

If this forum had an Italian speaking section, barely anyone would visit it, so whatever you wanted to discuss would likely get no engagement. This is the reason you were given the advice to translate your comments, not because anyone is looking down on you or your language, it’s purely to increase the likelihood of people replying to you.

And just an FYI, English isn’t Reese’ first language either, and also isnt the first language of many forum regulars.

Lol. I’m Dutch. Very hard to get offended by anything or anyone.

There are only 4 posts in this whole topic that are on-topic. I’m sure you’ve read the topic title before posting…

So back on-topic: SC5000 will surely still get new firmware.

Of course, the photo that DJ Dragon uses every time to reply to someone is definitely related to the title! It’s just a joke and a rude response, and he didn’t just use it in this post but also in others. He even replied to me once with that photo under a request of mine! And regarding the Serato forum and spam, it’s been reported several times, but do you think it depends on the users or on the management of the forum? It doesn’t seem to me that it’s the fault of the fact that there’s an Italian-language section? I know quite a few Italian users here too, and requesting an Italian section is my right, no one is stopping me!

Let me specify it for you: Post 1,2,3 and 5 are on-topic. The rest, including mine, are not. Normally they get moderated as such.

On the topic of the Feature Requests section: those are meant to enhance the Engine products, like stated in the guidelines. That means Engine Desktop software and/or Engine OS hardware.

As a result, your request about the forum didn’t get approved. However, there are language requests active for the hard- and software interface, so be sure to vote on those.

There might be Italian DenonDJ Facebook groups to discuss in your native language. Don’t know exactly. Although, you mentioned you have all DenonDJ gear up for sale, if I’m not mistaken.

Maybe it’s lost in translation.

But that image I post is about the entitlement of requests and the insinuation that the inMusic & Denon don’t care or are too incompetent to achieve anything that doesn’t benefit a single user whining. If you’re going to use feature requests as a benchmark, I’ve been asking for a simple change to add BITRATE to the column selections for a long time.

Does it affect my use of the product? No.

Does it impact my mental health so badly that I feel the need to complain openly about it on a forum to get validation from strangers on the internet? No.

So yea, I’ll post it.

No they don’t. There’s no Italian section over at the Native Instruments forum. It’s English only, and posts in other languages get translated by moderators, and the poster is asked to use English. Ditto for the Algoriddim forum and the Pioneer forum.

Look, I checked and I have to tell you that at the moment you’re right, but I was a native user when Traktor was still in its first version, and there was an Italian section in the forum, now it’s no longer there! I’m a mixvibes user and the section is there, virtual dj is there too and serato is there, and so the forums where I’m registered have it, native I’m no longer registered, so the only forum I frequent that doesn’t have an Italian section is this one and pioneer too, but before I’m sure it was there! At this point I think that the forums that don’t have an Italian section don’t care about Italians, this is a racist form as far as I’m concerned, so why stay here and give my money to those who don’t take Italian into consideration?

The latest updates (at least some newer versions) do seem to have some noticeable improvements. Unfortunately, no firmware updates anymore since v3.4 have this type of hybrid waveform layout with the background layer present but de-emphasized:

pathetic.

u dont have to be a fanboy and show to use that u care about the company as much as being fair. Denon is getting very slow in updating, and that’s a bad sign, and u know it. So stop showing that you’re the founder of Denon and ask why they are getting slow.
