Today I got these error messages when updating my first SC5000 from 4.0 to 4.2. On the second player I was able to update to 4.2 as usual using a laptop > USB cable.
Then I tried it directly using a USB stick, the player just restarted and that was it. No change.
The update via WiFi then resulted in the message in image 3.
I tried a factory reset…didn’t work, the device just restarted
A downgrade to 3.3 or 3.4 is also not possible, error messages images 1 & 2.
Then I downgraded the second player from 4.2 back to 4.0. It worked perfectly. Unfortunately I couldn’t find anything about it online either. I hope someone here can give me a tip as to what’s going on.
A different powersocket, USB Cable and power cable also failed ;(
I loggeg both SC 5000 in my Profile, it works. But one SC tell my “Device not on wallpower” Connection via LAN Cable. The other SC works fine, so it think it is a damage at the ROM or what ever. But why ? -.-
Nope, I try the update with laptop and with USB, LAN and WiFi in Standalone Modus. But in all Mods the update failed
The second Player works fine, i can update, downgrade and factory reset. Maybe I think that the Player is bricked because the failed FW Update. A Member from another Denon Community told me that .
Support Ticket is open, I hope that the Denon Tech. Support told me whtas wrong with the Player.
