SC5000 Extremely SLOW after latest firmware update

Well, I’m running ver.5.0.1 and since the last 4.3 where the media player seemed to work fine, now everything I do, takes ages to be accomplished…

When I’m in the COMPILATION VIEW (tracks list) if I want to CUE a track in my headphones I’d better load it into the deck itself and have a listen to it from the deck rather from the track list it would be faster…

The WIFI is UNSTABLE and it keeps DISCONNECTING from my WLAN…

Sometimes also the jog wheel is UNRESPONSIVE, I can pitch UP or DOWN but if I try to scratch the track seems to be frozen in place…

Anyone experiencing the same problems?

No. Opposite, 5.0.1 made my SC5000 more fluid and noticeably faster.

I mean, I have TWO SC5000 and both are behaving the same…

Good to hear that you are in business, cause I’m not!

Also, I’m considering doing a downgrade to the prev 4.3 version since I do not use STEMs at the moment and the RGB waveform is just a nice to have…

Have you only upgraded the firmware? Have you let the 4.? database on your music drive(s) upgrade to 5.0.1 yet?

The database has been updated according to the instruction…

So I RE-ANALYZED all the tracks with the new SW version, but still no luck!

There must be something that I’m missing…

I downgraded to 5.0, it’s much faster again. The 5.0.1 update adds not much, just a hotfix for the LC6000s not working. So I would downgrade to 5.0 and see where that takes things for you.

I saw no noticeable improvements in the drive network link in 5.0 over 3.4, and I hate the post 3.4 UI HUD changes, so probably not worth me trying these recent betas until they say any of the issues I’ve previously reported have been (maybe) fixed.
