SC Live 4 Touchscreen Unresponsive During Gigs – Any Solutions?

I’ve been using my SC Live 4 professionally as a DJ at events for over two years without any major issues.

However, lately, I’ve been experiencing a serious problem during my sets:

Sometimes, the touchscreen becomes unresponsive. The display itself works fine, and the unit continues to function with the physical buttons, but I can’t interact with the screen. This prevents me from using key features like lighting control, track searching, or effects. The issue happens randomly.

Fortunately, I was able to continue my set by using a Bluetooth keyboard and the physical controls.

The device is fully updated, both software and firmware, and I always keep the screen clean.

Has anyone experienced this issue or found a solution?

It could be an issue with static/grounding or moisture on your hands.

Are you using a good quality surge protected extenstion lead to connect your device?

I’m still having issues with the screen. Some days it works normally, other days it starts acting up mid-session, and sometimes it just doesn’t work at all. Luckily, I’ve always managed to activate the search function and use the Bluetooth keyboard to find tracks. I can also use the forward/back buttons to keep mixing.

I’m using a power strip with surge protection, and I’ve also tried a regular one, but that hasn’t made any difference.

Now, the problem is that the issue doesn’t always show up, and I’m worried about sending it in for warranty service only to have them not fix it after being without the equipment for several weeks.

I’m waiting for the PRIME GO PLUS to become available.

Has anyone else experienced these issues?
