Unit would not power down last night. Finally pulled the plug. Attempted power up and it is stuck in boot loop or something.
How to reset? help?
You can reload the firmware on by holding a finger combination over a few buttons.
@Reese is the man who knows all these finger combos. I’m sure he’ll be around soon.

I unplugged it. Then I did the button combo. A graphic of a chip with a down arrow shows.
just stays on that for now. Maybe it takes some time to do this reset?
Or do I need a USB with firmware on it to boot from that? it has been 10 minutes of this same behaviour. now. Going to leave it for a couple hours while i run an errand.
Use the exe file and a computer to update. Not the img file.
Turned it off again. then just a regular start and it loaded up fine. everything seems normal again so far. thanks all!

By the way, what is the “combo” for the Prime 4 ?
Right deck: SHIFT + EJECT > Power ON

It should be the same button combo as the SC Live 4, yes. Have you tried?
yes i tried , but not recognize on pc , my unit turn on all buttons but no turn on display and not connect to pc
You should have a working display showing the update mode after using the button combo.
So perhaps it’s better to contact the retailer you bought it from or create a support ticket to get this issue resolved. .

How long does the unit take to fully power up for you? from the moment you push the ON button until it’s done loading and shows the tracks. Mine is a bit long, like 30 seconds. Is it normal?
Yep 30 seconds is about right, (I timed 32secs) it needs time to boot and run calibration/checks I’d imagine. Pretty reasonable boot time for this type of device, it’s certainly no Macbook
