Hello, who would like a sc live 2 except not so skimmed down, here is the problem with the live 2, small in futures compared to the 4 all I would like added is below
I’d normally agree with you wholeheartedly (Prime 2 owner here) but I do think the Live 4 is very competitive with regards to price so it’s not too much to soak up. And you get some other nice things like balanced booth out included.
The Live 4 solves all of your listed issues, while being not much bigger, and the pricing is very fair (1150€ here in Germany, around the same in USD). It is also unlikely to me, that Denon DJ will release another 2Ch controller in the near future, since there is also the Mixstream and the Prime Go. And you can simply keep the additional two channels as backup, e.g. should a fader cause issues.
The Live 4 is a great unit for the price, and I am saying that while (also) being a Prime 4 owner.
I know what you mean, however i bought at the time there flagship controller(mixtrack plantum fx) it stopped working in 4 months and because of that i don’t trust the quality of numark
the sclive 4 is a great idea. better speakers, more output options and when i use it in computer mode with djay i can assign channel 3 s eq to stems crossfaders and channel 4s eqs to crossfader effects while still keeping my normal eqs on channel 1 and 2.
