Dear Denon DJ Team,
I’m a professional mobile DJ and long-time user of the Denon Prime 4 and Prime 4 Plus. I truly appreciate the flexibility and power of Engine OS – it allows me to perform without a laptop, which is essential for my setup.
However, I – along with many other international DJs – face a major limitation during live performances:
Engine OS does not support multilingual or Cyrillic keyboard input, making it impossible to search for Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian or other Slavic language titles on streaming platforms like Tidal, Amazon Music, or Beatsource.
This is a serious problem in real-world gigs. Many clients request songs in Russian, and without Cyrillic input, it becomes nearly impossible to locate a track unless it’s already in a preloaded playlist. Transliteration is not a viable solution during a live event – it’s too slow and unreliable under pressure.
We respectfully request:
The ability to switch keyboard input languages (Russian, Greek, Japanese, Arabic, etc.) in Engine OS.
Alternatively, at least add Russian/Cyrillic keyboard support as a first step.
A simple language toggle in the keyboard interface would already be a game-changer for thousands of DJs worldwide.
This is not a niche request – many DJs perform at international events, weddings, private parties, and multicultural festivals. Language flexibility is essential for a professional workflow, especially when using Tidal or Amazon Music as an on-the-fly request tool.
We understand Engine OS is designed to be streamlined and stable, but this feature would dramatically increase its usability and global relevance.
Thank you for listening to your user community. We love your products, and we look forward to future updates that make Engine OS even more inclusive and powerful.
Best regards, Gregor Granadium
