I live near Melbourne, Australia. Previously I have had equipment repaired at Electric Factory but they no longer do repairs. My SC6000M screen has failed. Yes, I have tried many times to try and do a hard rest to no avail.
Where on Earth do I get Denon DJ equipment repaired in Australia? There are NO repair centres listed on the website. I tried Hot Golf Hifi in Brunswick but they cannot get parts…
I tried contacting CMI music & Audio who are the distributor.. No return call from a phone call. No email response from their contact form…
Quite frankly, it is EXTREMELY disappointing I can’t get my equipment fixed in Victoria, Australia.
my unit (DENON PRIME GO) was repaired under warranty, I returned it to DJ CITY and they sent it somewhere. this was a few years ago. Perhaps DJ CITY staff will know.
Ok. I received the unit back from Hot Gold Hiifi, he said he cannot get parts from CMI. I have now lodged the following email to CMI as they are failing to provide a repairer in Australia and are restricting parts and service manual. Let’s see if they respond.
To the Service Manager, CMI Music & Audio,
I am writing to formally place you on notice regarding a failure to provide a remedy for my Denon DJ SC6000M media player.
As the exclusive Australian importer for Denon DJ, CMI is obligated under Section 58 of the Australian Consumer Law to ensure that repair facilities and spare parts are reasonably available. Despite the SC6000M being a flagship product recently discontinued, I have been unable to access any repair facility, and your company has failed to respond to direct inquiries regarding service.
Please note the following:
I have attempted to engage with your organization via phone and web portal with no response.
Local independent repairers have confirmed that CMI restricts access to proprietary spare parts, rendering the device unrepairable by third parties.
Unless a repair pathway (either via your Broadmeadows facility or provision of necessary parts) is confirmed within five (5) business days, I will consider this a failure to provide a remedy under the ACL.
In the event of no response, I will proceed to have the unit repaired by a qualified independent technician of my choosing, and will seek full reimbursement for all reasonable costs incurred as permitted by the ACCC guidelines when a supplier fails to provide a timely remedy.
i had similiar experience with bricked prime 4 couple yrs ago. whoever the storedj contact for repairing was kept delaying them. i kept emailing store dj eventually they just gave me a prime 4 plus in its place.
