Repairs Denon SC-6000 Prime Cue Button

A friend of mine got a little smash happy with the cue button and now it pops up when you press on the left edge. See the attached video.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is it a common issue? Is it easily fixed? I’ve looked at the authorized repair list and there doesn’t seem to be anyone close to NYC, which is surprising.

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I’ve not seen this happen and you likely broke whatever plastic retention stuff is under there and need to send it in for repairs, or buy a donor SC6000M.

Someone here will likely say “Contact support for help”.

Yeah I’m pretty sure dude smashed the housing that sits below it. I put together a support ticket already.

Anyone have a broken SC6000 they’re trying to offload? lol

That’s really a cop out and not good customer service at all. I checked for “authorized service centers” near me, I’m in the North East ( not far from InMusic Brands HQ and the nearest location to me on their website repair center search was Bermuda…..

This is one of the main reasons I’m leery of InMusic now, no available parts, cryptic parts schematics and no transparency for folks to even repair the gear they own. The company won’t even offer you a parts diagram or part number to even try to sort you out.

Really sad.

Same thing in Europe… I can not find cue/play buttons for Prime devices. I will ask friend to try 3d print it… Maybe it works

That’s a great idea! If that doesn’t work out and if you haven’t tried these folks out yet, All Denon Audio and DJ Spare Parts - Denon Audio and DJ Parts it may be worth a shot.
