**Repairing Prime 4 DIY** NEED HELP LOL

Today a dj send me this video, saying he`ll never ever buy any denon mixer again. The video shows an X1850 in a private bunker room.

He deeply regrets having bought the X1850 to replace his Pioneer DJM750. He had never experienced such a mess as with this Denon mixer. I recommended to buy Allen & Heath Xone96 in advance, but he wanted to go with Denon due to the integrated layout (2 SC6000s & X1850).

I’ve owned several mixers, but haven’t been able to get a faceplate scratched like that. Seen this more in my DJ time, but don’t know how they do it.

Me too. I have never had such faceplate problems with any of my equipment. This should be adressed and must be improved with the next generation of Denon mixers. The best thing would be an openable, replaceable fader faceplate, which would make servicing much easier. Very welcome would be the option of using different fader type qualities.

I know that this guys DJM750 looked very good as he sold it. So I would assume that there really could be a quality issue…

The MC6000 had a similar issue where finger grease would eat through the paint. I sent my one away and they fitted a new plate under warranty. Happened around the faders and play/pause buttons.
