Could anyone please give me a rundown or explain why my rendered stems tracks aren’t showing on my 4 plus? I’ve currated a stems playlist, rendered the tracks I want to use as stems track, moved them tracks onto a usb flash drive but when I power up my prime 4 the stems folder is showing as empty there is probably something really simple that I haven’t done but I just can’t figure it out… Thanks in advance guys
What is your workflow to get the tracks to USB? Sync?
Maybe the solution can be found here:
As far as I can see from the video, you’ll have to use the Sync function when you update your drive.
HI Mate.
The first mistake you made: When you created a stems list. You, as the user, are not creating stems list! The Stems list in Engine DJ is an automatically generated, auxiliary tracklist of songs that have been rendered for Stems. No need to create another, second Stems list!
All you have to do is select the songs or playlists and: A. Drag&Drop metod, move the songs or playlists to the existing Stems list. B: select the songs (Ctrl+shift, Ctrl+A Ctrl+click on the tracks), right-click (trackpad, PC mouse) in the context menu and select the option: “create stems”.
Do nothing else. Finally, export the relevant songs or playlists with pre-rendered tracks, to your external storage device as usual.
Thats all.
Am having the same challenge which was what brought me here to see if am the only one. I have done everything possible as regards the laid down instructions but still yet, I cannot locate the stems folder on the prime 4+
Sorry to say the obvious, but have you updated the engineOS to the latest version
Strangely enough I am having the same problem with my SC Live 4. The tracks have been rendered in engine for stems however when syncing the tracks to the usb I cannot see a way to also sync the stems file is this done automatically? When I open the controller all the tracks are there but no stems folder I’m not sure what is happening. Is there somewhere I could bring it to to get this sorted out straight away. I’m in London England.
It’s all done automatically. Just export the track and the stem file will be sent too.
Make sure you’ve logged into your inMusic profile on your SC Live 4 with the same email as you purchased your stems licence with.
I experience something similar on my SC Live 4. My workflow:
- Select a bunch of tracks, right click, “Create stems”
- Wait until generated
- Sync via “Sync Manager” with external drive (Samsung T5 SSD in my case)
- Eject external drive
- Connect to SC Live 4
- Start up SC Live 4
- Load profile
At this point, the newest generated stems are NOT selectable. Older generated ones are.
Then, I basically redo above workflow once more, except step 1 and 2, and then suddenly it works?
Looks like the sync manager does not “see” the difference in stems synced to the external drive initially. Before I redid the workflow I checked the Engine Library/Stems directory. It had 877 stems files. But according to the Engine DJ library I should have 915 stems files.
After the sync I saw it added the missing ones.
All of my gear is on the latest versions.
