Remaining and elapsed time

Hi there,

I’m wondering if others see advantage in showing elapsed AND remaining time on a standalone device, whether or not on the platters depending on the model & space on the screen. As far as I know it is not possible whatever the brand is. Serato, in my case does the job but then you still need to use a laptop/tablet. In my opinion it would be a nice to have when recording mixes where one might have to take in account a maximum recording tiem.

Why not just eyeball the elapsed time on whatever you’re recording with? I use my watch or the software i’m using to record with to keep my mixes to a specific length.

I refer to recording about 6 minutes per track. The total recording time is visible indeed.
