Rekordbox not importing cues to Engine DJ

Hi all Im setting cue points in RB and then exporting the XML as per the instructions. I then use EngineDJ and import via the Rekordbox Library, choose the XML file and away to go…except the cue’s dont load with the tune! I see the cues in RB but not EDJ. Ive tried re-analysing them from inside the RB library on EDJ but nothing! I used Mixed In Key for several tracks and they all show the cue’s but i deleted the MIK cue points folder from the playlist in RB. This shouldnt affect my issue but i added it as extra information. Regardless of whether i use MIK, when i export any XML from RB to import to EDJ, the cues should show. Running EDJ 2.0 (i had 2.1 installed but thought it was a bug and so uninstalled it back to 2.0) and RB 6.

To get the playlists from RB Library i need to right click and Import Collection right (on the Collection drop down)? That function gets everything on to the EDJ side in order for me to export to the USB stick yes?

I know somethings wrong because the old MIK Playlist folder is still showing on the EDJ side. This was deleted from RB and thus the XML export should reflect this when i import the XML to EDJ, but its still showing.

Any ideas guys? im one step away from uninstalling the lot (luckily on 23 tunes) and starting again with 3 or 4 cue’d-up tunes to see where its going wrong! I dont understand it!

thanks Dave

you cant add imported cues and loops to tracks that are already part of Engine DJ collection…officially

Riiiiiiiiight! So I need to delete the collection from the EDJ side and then import the new XML?

Ok i just deleted the entire EDJ side and backedup the DB to make it all blank. Exported a fresh XML from RB > imported to EDJ > Clicked Import Collection and b00m! there they are! (when i re-analysed of course!)

Its a shame that EDJ cant overwrite but then again we’re supposed to EDJ right!?

Thank you so much. You really helped me there dude

Import is supposed to be 1 time and never look back.

Well, we have different needs lol.

I did do a similar request for optional updates

didnt get much traction

So i continue to manage my library in serato and wipe engine db regularly

I see, do you wipe EDJ side by deleting each folder etc? or is there a quick way to totally delete the lot? thanks

i have a feeling this wont be the last time i use this function…and yes we all have different needs

No I delete the Engine Folder that’s created in internal music folder (and my external storage as i don’t store music on the laptop)

right, so its just a case of deleting the folders then and start again when i need a fresh export/import?
