Hello I would like to know if there is anyway to record from the controller on the engine dj program windows? Like in Rekordbox. Iam having problrms to record on pendrive cause error speed recordind too slow. King Regards
There is no way to record to Engine Dj.
Engine dj is just for analysing, preparing music and exporting to USB. (Or sending the collection via WiFi to Denon hardware)
My first suggestion would be to just buy a faster thumb drive.
There are workarounds but they can be a pain
Here are some workarounds you can try:
-
Get a stereo RCA to jack cable, plug it into your microphone input on your windows machine (if you have a mic input) and record in any software that records external audio.
-
Get a small external soundcard like Behringer U-Control UCA 222 to get the sound into your PC/Laptop
-
Use Serato or Virtual DJ and record from internal audio.
-
(I don’t trust this will work) Have 2 thumb drives in your SC Live 4, one playing music and one only for recording, but if it’s too slow it still might not work.
And number 5 on the list of workarounds: Get a small mixer with USB, like one of the Mackie mixers or Yamaha. Maybe this video helps you, Jordan has some good points for chosing a mixer over an interface:
You can never have too many mixers.
Double up as a bridge between you and house system too, a cheap sub mixer is a great addition to any dj bag
USB 3.2 or a half decent SD card will allow you to record OP.
thank you for the tip
