RB USB Analysis in Engine OS

Hello;

I have my USB analyzed with RB, can I analyze it in Engine OS in my computer (MAC), or I should just run the analysis in my prime 4+

Also is there a gain from having both analysis done? RB + Engine OS?

Hey, Your prime 4+ will read the library, but will also analyse tracks one by one.

A bit terminology info:

Engine OS - OS stands for operating system - it is on your prime 4+

Engine dj - it is a library software on your computer.

If you exported music from Rekordbox to the usb stick, prime 4 will read the library and will be able to search the tracks. But the waveform will be build on the fly when you load the track.

If You export from engine dj - all options will be immediately available.

When i connect my RB into my P4 its asking me to analyse the tracks, must i do this or I can just skip it.

I ask because I have a lot of tracks, over 100k in my internal SSD.

Analyse them using engine DJ at home on of or Mac , - it’ll take hours , but only has to be done once - once they’re done, they’re done

It’s not going to analyse but it will import the playlist and tracks to engine compatible format.

If you don’t need to use the prime4 immediately sure you can a click yes.

Try and time it, I will be keen to know how long it takes to add your 100k Rekordbox collection

I’ve been running the analysis in my usb since yesterday on my computer using Engine DJ.

I’ll update how long it took to analyze my entire music library when it’s done.
