Problem with statements on Denon DJ support site

Whilst doing research after a recent post, I noticed that in the FAQ for the Prime 4 (and possibly others in the range) there are statements that the unit is supported/compatible with both Serato and VirtualDJ software - which is correct. No problem there.

However, further down there’s a question “Why won’t PRIME 4 connect to Engine Prime on my computer?” and the answer given is “At this time, PRIME 4 is a standalone DJ console only and does not control Engine Prime or any other DJ software” - which is incorrect, especially considering the earlier answers.

I was also quite surprised to find that there’s no mention in the PDF manual or the support site of ASIO.

So according to that text, “the prime 4 has the capability to controls Serato & Virtual DJ, but not Engine DJ (Desktop) or any other (aforementioned) DJ applications”. :+1:t3:

I can see how reading that second block of text, out of context of the 1st, can be confusing and misleading.
