Problem looping songs with compatible tempo ( example 80 - 160 )

When I have a song in a channel at 160 BPM ( Example ) and I put another song at a compatible tempo /2 or x2 , 80 BPM ( Example ). If I loop the first one, it changes the tempo all of a sudden. It doesn’t stay in time. It is as if it is automatically synchronized to second song. Does it happen to anyone or do you know how to fix it? Thanks.

Hello, yes, I wrote about this earlier.

and this is not only on fractional bpm, but on any. in my post I was offered a crutch, but not a solution.

This is not a bug, but rather a lacking feature, thus there is not fix for it. There is a feature request from a long time ago which still hasn’t been implemented. What you’re talking about is syncing half-time and double BPM songs together. The only workaround is to manually set one of the track’s bpm to half-time or double bpm in the edit grid mode, then set it back after the transition is done

Hey, I think I may have found a way to solve the issue you’re describing with the tempo changing unexpectedly when looping tracks at different BPMs. I ran into a similar problem, and i got frustrated and confused on controlling my decks when polyrhythmic mixing or different BPM’s mixed with loops. here’s what worked for me: before you set the 4-beat loop, try pressing “Shift + Sync” on the deck with the higher BPM (Deck A ex160 ). This stops the software from automatically syncing both tracks together and messing with the tempo. You’ll still be able to adjust the BPM independently on each deck without one song speeding up or slowing down unexpectedly.

Also, I set the “Sync Mode” to “Beat Sync” to keep things in time more accurately. Once you’re synced, you can set the “Sync Indicator” to “Beat Keeper” this keeps everything locked together and avoids any drifting once you’re in “sync” I’ve been using this method for polyrhythmic mixes, and it seems to keep everything stable without any unwanted tempo shifts. Give it a try and let me know if it works or I am just getting crazy, haha. I figured out this setting by reading the manuals of the SC Live 4 hundred of time while the speeding happened.
