Hi i have a denen prime go , and just now i can not get deck two to match deck 1. the pitch bend on deck one is +0.00% +4 . but on deck 2 it is +8.75% +8 and i cant get it to 0.00% so every track on deck 2 is wrong in bpm . any help guys … please…
Can you send a screenshot so we can see what you mean? Do you have sync on?
denon prime go issues - YouTube thats the link . better than a still. also whats the lead lit up below the sync in the window at the side of the bpm . when i press synch on deck 2 it will not match deck 1
That is weird isnt it, I can see in the manual it says 4 is a valid pitch range.
Lead i think is telling you which of the two tracks are taking the ‘lead’ with the BPM, its meant to be the track thats playing out to the audience with the other matching itself off that.
The only thing i can suggest is updating your firmware to the latest version (although it does look like you are on that)
I dont know too much about sync but have you tried disabling it then setting each pitch fader to zero, to see if the BPM matches up? or is near enough.
It might be stopping you from entering the 4 pitch range on one deck because the BPM is too far out of its normal range to allow that so maybe zeroing both pitch, disable sync then see if it lets you set them both at the same range? I personally use 8 on mine as it matches 1210s.
There is a sync override feature whereby you can move the pitch slider past the point its meant to be at and it should start moving the speed up and down, i cant speak for the go but on other prime devices there are LED up and down arrows that are lit up to tell you which way to move the fader to unify it with its speed.
deck 2 is now stuck on +50 and +100 cant get it to anything else. . fetched these to thailand to do some outside streams, but not sure if thats gunna happen now. thanks for your help dude. much appreciated.
No probs, only thing I can suggest is downloading an older firmware and putting it back to say 2.1.0 or something, all older firmware is on the downloads page, you can then do the update via USB from your computer.
Have you tried disabling sync then doing the BPM range change?
If you’ve been using auto-sync (and I’m not gonna lecture anyone on whether anyone should or shouldn’t use auto ) or manually set a high pitch change, then the decks won’t allow you to change pitch range if the deck needs that current selected pitch range to keep the current track playing.
Eg: if you’ve got a track playing at +45% …. That plus 45% is only available in pitch ranges 50 and 100. The deck won’t let you pick pitch ranges of 20 or 10 or 8 or 4 because they don’t offer 45%
So would doing what I suggested resolve it? disable sync, zero the pitch, set the range, re-enable sync?
Should you also not try and load a track that runs outside of 4% BPM range of the other track if you have it set to that?
As a non-sync user this is all a learning curve to me, it seems having your pitch range set low is a way of creating problems with sync because it runs the risk of not being able to pitch the track to match, better off with say 10% to give it some leeway?
hardware issue … returning deck when i get back to uk
