Prime Go-not being recognized by my PC

Hey gang…I am having trouble getting my PC (laptop) to recognize my Prime Go. I have downloaded the latest driver from the Denon site, but still not working properly. I have a Denon Prime 4 and it connects to the laptop and works just fine, no issues. I am then able to us the Prime 4 as a sound card and run all my sound through my mini JBL compacts. For some reason I cannot get the Prime Go to do the same thing. I am running an Alienware 17", I9 intel processor, 64 Gigs Ram, NVIDIA 4080 GPU, (2) 2 TB Hard Drives, Windows 11.

The Prime Go shows up under the USB icon as connected, but I cannot select it as an audio source in any applications or in Engine DJ, it does not appear like my Prime 4 does.

Any help, suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I had the same issue when installing those drivers before I realised the plus had their own ones.

It looks like the Windows install is borked as it doesn’t create the sound interface or fully complete installation.

A support ticket is probably your best option.

Try installing this driver, and let us know if it worked for you.

Well, I was hopefull…but, it did not work. Any other thoughts. Like I said, my Prime 4 connects without any issues to the same laptop. Thanks.

Still have not solved this issue…anyone have ideas?

As I said it looks like the install package isn’t working. You need to raise a support ticket.

I did start a ticket…twice. The response was short and sweet…basically telling me to get it serviced because it may be the port. But, the unit is like new…I have tried several cables and the computer recognizes the device but won’t recognize it as a sound device or drive. I am dissapointed that there is no more phone support. I also have a Prime 4 that connects without issue, so I am no stranger to the process. Seems like a driver issue with the Prime Go…but I am not getting much feedback. It could be something I am doing wrong, but I am not a novice…LOL, I actually put studios together for people and I have been in the audio production business since the days of reel to reel. I could use someone from Denon to give me some solid support on this issue.

Well I’m very PC savvy and the driver package does not work for the original Prime Go (not Plus) as you say it doesn’t load sound drivers correctly.

@Rob_Gaudet can you please advise ASAP on this one as I reported this in another thread weeks ago.

Looking into this with support, thanks @Homeland101.

@Tom_Soccocio What is your case #?

I’ve done all that Rob. It’s another issue where the install doesn’t complete. The link you posted is a different thing where it doesn’t even start installing.
