Hey gang…I am having trouble getting my PC (laptop) to recognize my Prime Go. I have downloaded the latest driver from the Denon site, but still not working properly. I have a Denon Prime 4 and it connects to the laptop and works just fine, no issues. I am then able to us the Prime 4 as a sound card and run all my sound through my mini JBL compacts. For some reason I cannot get the Prime Go to do the same thing. I am running an Alienware 17", I9 intel processor, 64 Gigs Ram, NVIDIA 4080 GPU, (2) 2 TB Hard Drives, Windows 11.
The Prime Go shows up under the USB icon as connected, but I cannot select it as an audio source in any applications or in Engine DJ, it does not appear like my Prime 4 does.
Any help, suggestions or advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I did start a ticket…twice. The response was short and sweet…basically telling me to get it serviced because it may be the port. But, the unit is like new…I have tried several cables and the computer recognizes the device but won’t recognize it as a sound device or drive. I am dissapointed that there is no more phone support. I also have a Prime 4 that connects without issue, so I am no stranger to the process. Seems like a driver issue with the Prime Go…but I am not getting much feedback. It could be something I am doing wrong, but I am not a novice…LOL, I actually put studios together for people and I have been in the audio production business since the days of reel to reel. I could use someone from Denon to give me some solid support on this issue.
I’ve done all that Rob. It’s another issue where the install doesn’t complete. The link you posted is a different thing where it doesn’t even start installing.
Hey guys…I to have the Denon Prime Go. I’m frustrated by it all. I started out with the DJ app in my new laptop I bought and grew to buying 4 controllers and CDJ - DJM2000 Setup. I landed at the Denon Prime Go because it descriptively abilities. It met my needs for what I’m doing but again ran into problems. During this whole evolving choice of returning to DJing from vinyl to todays technology, I’ve done nothing BUT run into issues. Very upsetting issues…every time I up grade with my equipment, I’m thinking my issue with go away yet that not be the case. If anything, I’ve become very knowledgeable in this whole world of todays DJ technology. Any hoo, I’m here today because of the same, my Prime Go wont connect as well. I’m running Virtual Dj with the professional license, but wont let me run the audio from my Denon. I click the Denon button and nothing. It stays on computer. I go to the audio setup screen and doesn’t show in Hardware box. when I click on popdown window it says Denon but not the ASIO setup. I’ve change cables, downloaded drives over and over but still nothing. I bought my unit brand spanking new because all my other equipment I purchased used. So I’m not alone with this issue so I’m watching this thread for a solution. Thanks for allowing me to vent (believe me, I cussed out all the blog associated with trouble shooting on every HELPFULL customer service support) and looking forward to start throwing down soon!
It’s an issue I highlighted and even tagged support in months ago. The drivers don’t completely install, it falls over mid process and the ASIO drivers don’t get installed properly hence the reason VDJ can’t use them.
I got the issue resolved for the newer Prime Go+ drivers which were released at the time but the ones for the original Prime Go still don’t work. I tagged Rob Gaudet in but it seems nothing has been done.
It’s 100 percent an issue with the Denon driver install, hence the reason in VDJ when you try and use the inbuilt sound config the controller can’t be selected as the drivers are missing. I’ll try again later and see if the same thing happens.
This exactly what I’m talking about. I’ve had this unit for 4 months, 4 months and can’t get it to work properly. There’s no accountability, no one to talk to, no one that can really help. They create a page we can tell our troubles to which is suppose to be the support link but for some reason we could be mistaken for just conversating and passed up on for technical assistance. I say like I said for the beginning of this whole DJ, controller stuff it doesn’t work. I spend all this money this equipment to find out the support people are a blog of people that are sitting waiting for help. I don’t have the time to waiting for a couple of customers to come up with a answer because they shared how they handled it. this is what they call the stuff that falls out of the back of bulls after they eat. Man, I really made a mistake for buying this crap and believing Denon really give a rats bottom. The money in the buying of the unit. Not helping with what you sold me. Well I guess I’m going to through it in the closet with the rests of the crap Pioneer and Hercules and Numark sold me. how do the other DJ’s you see spinning do it?
