Prime Go Battery Drains excessively when not in use. (About 10% battery drain every week)

My Denon Prime Go was purchased brand new from Amazon in December 2021.

I can fully charge the Prime Go to 100%. If I do not use the Prime Go for say 1 week, the battery level will drop 10%, making it 90% battery level.

That shows me the lithium ion batteries in my unit are either defective, or that is how the battery drains in all Denon Prime Go’s when not in use?

Usually I see that type of drain in inferior quality lithium ion batteries.

Does it sound like my unit is defective or is this standard for all Denon Prime Go’s?

Is this normal or should I put in for replacement under the 1 year warranty?

I appreciate anyones comments and what Denon Support have to say about this?

Thanks, Jonathan

Try not using it for a few months and post the results :upside_down_face:.

Temperature can cause lithium ions batteries to behave that way. Or it could be a cheap battery. Or it could be the design or the unit. Or it could be…

Yeah that’s not normal, first try re-flashing the FW it might be its not shutting down properly, failing that I would return to the retailer for a refund/replacement if possible.

Be wary if they want to send it to Denon though, I have a 3 month old SC6000 that they have had for 4 weeks now with no sign of getting it back, totally unacceptable IMO
