[PRIME 4] Upgrading from 1.3.1 to 2.0.2 fails - nothing is working anymore

Hi,

this evening I tried to upgrade my PRIME4 from 1.3.1 to 2.0.2 but nothing is working anymore. I tried to test othe versions but the problem persists. When the upgrade goes to “Updating PRIME4 Left disply to 00.38”, the PRIME4 shuts down.

Any idea on how can I solve this problem?

Could be to big of a step, so try to update to 1.6 first and then to 2.x.

How did you update? Cable or drive method? Try and force into update mode (Hold EJECT + power ON).

We might need @Anthony_DDJ as a internal peripheral seems to be hanging.

I did the updates through the blue cable connected to my Mac.

I tried various time, with various versions using the combination of Eject+Power on, because the system os wasn’t available.

Hopefully you get a solution that works for you - I got the same error (but for right display) when I tried to update from 1.4 to 1.6.2 on my Prime 4.

Unfortunately it had to go in for repair as the attempted update bricked it and it needed a new chip (I’m not technical so can’t tell you specifics).
