So I was about 3 hours into a set last night on my 4+, running 5.0.0 and the touch screen first started lagging and then stopped responding to touch altogether. I just powered it up again and it was working so I updated to 5.0.1. Is this a known bug or could it be a potential hardware failure issue?
I had this happen with 4.0.0 on one of my SC6000Ms during a performance. I rebooted and that didn’t fix the issue. So, I did a full power down, unplugged it and then pressed the power button to discharge the capacitors on the device.
After powering it up, it’s been fine. This issue happened a few weeks ago, and again, was on 4.0.0.
Hopefully this is just a simple software failure and is not indicative of a pending hardware issue.
