Prime 4+ + SC6000M + Engine Lighting – external line input / fader detection?

Hi everyone,

I’m planning a B3B setup with a Prime 4+ and one SC6000M and I’m trying to understand how Engine Lighting behaves in this configuration.

The planned setup would be:

Prime 4+ and SC6000M connected via Ethernet / Engine Link.

SC6000M Layer A RCA output goes into one of the Prime 4+ external line inputs.

Engine Lighting runs standalone on the Prime 4+.

My question is:

Will Engine Lighting automatically recognize the track currently playing on the SC6000M and also use the channel fader position of the corresponding external line input on the Prime 4+ to determine when that SC6000M track is “live”?

In other words:

If I play a SoundSwitch-scripted track on the SC6000M and bring up the Prime 4+ channel fader for that external input, will Engine Lighting automatically switch to that track’s light show and follow the fader level?

Or does this only work properly when the SC6000M is used with a StageLinQ-compatible mixer like the X1850?

I’d be especially interested in hearing from anyone who has actually tested:

Prime 4+ + SC6000/SC6000M + Engine Lighting standalone

Thanks!
