Prime 4+ no connection to engine dj

Hello,

Sorry proably i am wrong at this category and my questions are already asnwered 100 times and i cound’t find them. But never the less.

Please, i need your help. I got the prime 4+ in the same WIFI network as my computer. I can choose the computer as source at the prime (engine dj is runing on my computer) but after choosing i got the message “no connection to the networh” why? Addionally the computer is conected via USB to prime. I can use the sync Manager to transfer my music to the prime. But i can not use the engine dj Software as source for one of my decks on the prime. Please who can support?

I have to add that i got only a connection to my computer respectivley to engine dj if the prime is in computer mode.

Is someone of you located near bielefeld in germany?

Its possibly something to do with your network settings blocking the devices from talking to each other.

ALso remove the USB cable and try it with a purely wireless connection.

Eventuell auch darauf achten das beide entweder das 2.4 oder 5ghz Netz nutzen.. Habe hier auch so ein Ding was nicht klarkommt wenn sich beide Geräte nicht das exakt gleiche Netz teilen… warum auch immer.. ————————————————————————————————-

You might also want to make sure that both devices are using either the 2.4 or 5 GHz network. I have something like that here that doesn’t work if both devices aren’t sharing the exact same network… for whatever reason.

Firewall and network safty are not aktive and i also tried it without the usb connection

Hallo, wie kann ich beim prime sehen welches Ghz Netz genutzt wird? Der computer nutzt 2,4ghz.

How can i check which Ghz is in use? The computer is using 2,4 ghz

Try disabling 5ghz on your Router and see if the connection works when both are forced to use 2.4

Prime4plus uses 2,4ghz as well

Apart from resetting Prime, I can’t think of anything else at the moment. But if the drive is visible on your PC through Prime, it probably isn’t the Prime issue. I would try Engine DJ on another computer, if possible, to see if it works then.

Isn’t it true that Prime only shows the drive when USB is connected? I’ve never tried it without it.

i think i understand your question, and maybe youve missunderstood the engine software on pc… unlike with vdj, serato etc engine dj does not work as an active library and dj software where youre controller is a remote control for the pc. its merely a preperation program for library management etc… engine is designed for use as standalone only (tbhno idea why its seems like an obvious step to compete with serrato vdj etc to mak it fully functioning dj softwareas theyve done everything but mapp the controller to it…, but it is what it is). if your wanting to use the sc4 as a controller only not in standalone mode then youll have to use virtual dj or serato…i personally prefer virtual dj as the software intergration is much tighter… however i am a massive convert to standalone mode
