Prime 4+ lagging and stuttering since update to 3.4

I used seratom while on engine os 3.3 on my ASUS laptop and it played perfectly without ant glitches, since updating to 3.4 serato is pausing, skipping, lagging and stuttering, so I purchases a brand new apple mac M3 yesterday and still the same issue, cpu load in the top right is at around 50%

Any advise would be gratefully appreciated

  1. do you have a video of the issue?

  2. have you raised a support ticket with Serato?

I verified a variation of this to be true on m3 macbook pros and prime 4 and or prime 4 +. Using an m3 14" and 16". I tried beta and rolling the engine os back. I tried deleting serato db, using different profile. I think is is something to do with version os osx. As my m1max laptop works fine, but its on 14.1 and the other m3’s are on 14.3/5 . I tried to delete the midi device, a new midi profile… Ive turned off indexing, spolight, adjusted to all screen refresh rate in serato. The issue does not occur in virtual dj- only when using serato- will wave forms studder on laptop and cpu.

I will do that now.

Here is longer version - my friend brought this to me and I replicated his issues with my girlfriends m3

  1. Try the new Serato Beta 3.2

  2. In Serato settings, is there an option to disable moving waveform on the device. I have that option when I connect the 6000M.

Thanks I downloaded and tested - issue was still present-however I didnt know that was a setting.
I fell its worth noting I also tried rolling serato back to 3.1.1. Tried adjusting(all) prime firmware from 3.3 -4.0

Will try your solution tonight @mufasa thanks

Another thing to try would be to test with different view options.

For example, if you are on the parallel waveforms you could try the vertical or extended view.

Good luck.

You should also try toggling off the high resolution display settings in Serato

So- that check box isnt available when i use my prime 4. I have sc6000’s as well and the box is there. By checking it it stops stuttering-however my s6000 have had moving waveforms since serato support on day 1 so weird that its going backwards. Still no word from serato
