Prime 4 freezes when loading tracks

Been having this issue since the last engineOS update.

When a track is playing and I load a new track the player will freeze for 5-10 seconds after a 5s~ delay where it works fine after the track is loaded.

This happens about 30% of the time.

I’ve also noticed that when I’m scrolling my track list, it will stop rendering track information (I see blank grey rectangles) and it will take 10-20s for it to catch up.

Anyone have this happen, and have possible solutions?

If it doesn’t happen with streaming tracks then your issue is slow storage, files you are using or library issue.

I did some further testing, it doesn’t happen on my USB thumb drives, but happens on my USB SSD.

The common thread seems to be the 3.0 update, and SSDs.

Does Denon have a diagnostic tool? This almost reads like an OS issue that broke SSD support.
