Prime 4 audio cutting out completely after 10 minutes

Recently I’ve been having an issue were my prime 4 will be running fine but after about ten minutes all the audio cuts out completely (to speakers and headphones). The decks continue to run, and tracks can be loaded in, but no audio is outputted. A few times the audio cutoff has been preceded by a weird popping noise.

So far I’ve tried running them off my laptop, checking all connections, downgrading the firmware, and getting a new USB and nothing seems to be working. I’m suspecting this is a hardware issue but unfortunately my decks are no longer covered by the 1 year warranty so just wondering what my options are?

have you done a factory reset?

yeah I have. I’ve also tried downgrading the firmware and nothing seems to help it.

What audio formats are you using when this happens?

I’m not quite sure what u mean by this? I’m just using my USB which I export my engine DJ playlists to.

I’m asking if there are specific audio formats that demonstrate this behavior?

  • AIFF
  • MP3
  • FLAC
  • OGG

Can’t think of any others atm.

And are you absolutely sure you did an actual factory reset or are you counting a downgrade as a factory reset? :slight_smile:

Have you tried playing audio straight from a usb stick plugged into the Prime 4 , with no laptop or DJ software involved too

Do you have vinyl mode enabled? If so, can you test it by disabling it?
