Thanks mate for your detailed response! Appreciated!!
I was gonna get myself a pair of Shure IEMs, but I think, for now the deck-saver is more important. Definitely gonna get me these before anything else

Hahahahah! True that mate
This is what I am thinking too. I am thinking to get the deck-saver now and putting it in the Softcase and then stuffing it in my bag in between the clothing.
Wish me luck!
Safe travels!
that is going to be a very large bag!!! Travel safe!
I got an XL bag for travel
Your a Brave man trying to fly with that . It will not fir in any over head compartment unless your chartering your own plane and under the plane you need a hard case with the Deek Saver for SHIZZLE. Good Luck my man.
You maybe right, but I used to fly quite often with my DDJ-1000 in its magma flight case and that used to fit. I think it’s just a few centimeters wide.
The main concern I have right now, is how to manipulate the guys over at the airport to let me take it in (since it’s a fragile thing or something like that)
As a point of reference for you. This is my Prime 4 EVA bag compared to two standard overhead carry-on bags. Height is about the same, width is a bit smaller, and length is roughly more than the two carry-ons side by side.
Call the airlines and check thier musical instrument policy. They do have provision for instrument carry-ons, check at. the gate, and (worse case) purchase a full seat for your instrument.
Keep us posted, good luck, and safe travels!
Oh my! Now that scares me a bit. I am flying this Saturday. I did contact the airlines and they told me that small instruments are allowed.
The only thing I did so far, is that I have purchased 10KGs of extra prepaid luggage, (as I thought it might count as something)
We are three people flying and the rest of us have normal luggage only. So that should help too, shouldn’t it?
I am staying positive. Fingers crossed
Not sure if you plan on checking it in. FYI - You pay for the extra weight on any checked bag over 22.6 KGs (50 LBS U.S.). To verify you can find a cheap luggage scale at most retail or luggage stores.
UPDATE:
I flew yesterday from Dubai to Riyadh. And I was able to carry on inside the plane. Didn’t have to say the airline staff anything to convince them.
I flew with the UDG hard case, and yes, it fits the overhead locker easily. You just have to check in a little earlier so that you are able to find the space easily.
